The Belgian Budgerigar Society (BBS) was formed in 1999 and our first show was held in May of the same year. The first meeting was composed of fanciers who wanted to introduce a new direction to the Budgerigar hobby in Belgium.   Unfortunately, some of those people are no longer members as they have left the hobby or have passed away.

The BBS is based in a town called St. Niklaas, where we have our shows and meetings.

We have a meeting for the members each month and during the year we have two shows; the young bird show in May and the Club Show in  September.

We have our own publication called “Magazine 2007”. This is monthly except in July and August when there is a Newsletter.

The Belgian Budgerigar Society is a member of the W.B.O. (World Budgerigar Organisation)
