Introduction
Northdowns Budgerigar Society was formed by a group of likeminded Budgerigar Fanciers who thought it a good idea to start a new specialist society to cater for breeders in northern Hampshire and other surrounding counties. The inaugural meeting was held in Odiham, Hampshire on 26th November 1981 and from that first gathering the society was formed.

As a Society Northdowns BS has thrived and established itself as one of the leading Budgerigar Societies in the South of England.
We still meet near Odiham at North Warnborough and one of our innovations is to twin with the North East Budgerigar Society in South Australia, where we can share ideas and patronage.
